In the framework of the summer school ENGAGE! Engaging Science for Resilient and Liveable Cities that took place at Estonian University of Life Sciences from August 7 to august 18, 2023, the project TRIGGER has co-hosted two case study projects exploring the implementation of the EU Green Deal (EGD) at the local level.
Both case studies have explored the Tartu Energy and Climate Change Plan, and were building on desk top research of local, national and European policies as well as field sociological research. One of the research groups came up with he analysis of the Tartu Transportation policies in terms of its engagement with citizens, and the other one had produced a board game illustrating actor interactions over an Energy and Climate Change Plan in a municipality, taking Tartu as an example.
